We all have strong opinions regarding the ethics and legalities in dog ownership, upland bird hunting and sharing outdoor resources with fellow sportsmen and non-consumptive users. Though we can all benefit from sharing these opinions in logical and thoughtful exchanges, the reality is that in online conversations, thoughtful persuasions quickly deteriorate into disrespectful alienation within a few posts.
I pledge to spare each of you from disciplinary expulsion (from forums only) if we all mind our manners.
Politics: Conservation of all resources is of paramount importance to sportsmen and women. Nothing dictates the use or exploitation of these resources more than industry influences on politicians. As difficult as it is to responsibly discus ethics and legalities of hunting and dog ownership, it's nearly impossible to discuss conservation without including political motives which always offend members from both sides. I commend any members who can talk this talk without offence but I know that I can't. I'll tolerate these conversations until I can't. Tread lightly.
