Well, that was hectic. I launched My Dog Hunts in our booth at Pheasant Fest in Schaumburg, IL. last weekend. I met a lot of great people and want to thank everyone who stopped in the booth. It was refreshing to see so many young hunters out there. From my days in the field, I didn't know there was anyone under 50 still bird hunting.
We gave away 500 Dead Bird flags which everyone seemed to appreciate. Even had patrons stop by who saw others with the flags and requested a pair. I use them in pairs. One to mark my position at the shot and another where the bird fell. Sometimes when you get to the estimated fall it just doesn't feel right and you need to go back to the place of shot to re-evaluate. Even that can be difficult without an aid. And in the end, you can also locate and pickup your empties when you return for the marker.
Pics are of trial setup before packing for the show.
Thanks to all who support Pheasants Forever and hope to see you in Minneapolis next February!
